Matthew McConaughey to do the lead role in ‘The Billionaire’s Vinegar’

Renowned actor Matthew McConaughey has been roped to play the lead role in ‘The Billionaire’s Vinegar’ a drama about one of the world’s most infamous wine frauds. The film is based on Benjamin Wallace’s famous book ‘The Billionaire’s Vinegar: The Mystery of the World’s Most Expensive Bottle of Wine’.

The film will showcase the story of a 1787 Chateau Lafitte Bordeaux, auctioned at Christie’s in 1985 for $150,000.

Todd Black, James Lassiter, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and Will Smith are producing this movie. The script of this film adaptation is being written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. These writers are known for penning the screenplay of movies like ‘3.10 to Yuma’ and ‘Wanted’.

Matthew McConaughey, who won the Academy Award for his role in ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ is currently busy with the shooting of Civil War drama ‘Free State of Jones’. He will soon star in ‘Gold’ directed by Stephen Gaghan.
